Trina, Matt, Maddie, Peter and Emma are at the cabin for the weekend. Maddie spent Friday night in Winona with us. Peter opted out and missed the strawberry ice cream, FANCY NANCY stories and Bloedow's on Saturday AM. Maddie picked out a long john covered with sprinkles. That plus milk in the front porch was a hit. She also picked out something special for everyone at the cabin. It rained a good part of the day and we spent the afternoon reading, playing games, listening to music, taking a nap and generally being quite laid back. Supper was burgers on the grill with a quinoa pilaf and brownies. The skies finally cleared and the kidlets [young and old] headed for the dock and caught a mess of fish including a large mouth bass for Peter. Lots of excited squeals emanated from the dock. After sunset it was home and bed.
